From humble beginnings to becoming a colossus hasn’t changed the human being in him. He doesn’t shy away in raising his voice for social causes. He’s an actor, philanthropist, politician who is a simple human being. His wife Latha Rajinikanth is an educationalist in her own right. She has been supporting him in the administration of the Mandapam. 

Three decades ago they opened this wedding hall, Raghavendra Mandapam to the public. Over the years this place has been a witness to thousands of weddings, philanthropic activities and more recently used for public help. This brainchild of Shri. Rajinikanth has been the hub of activity for his political journey too. The traditions, values and rituals of the Indian culture are greatly admired by Mr. Rajinikanth and he follows them with due diligence. It is his aim and vision to pass it on to the next generation and foster good values and family traditions across the population. He has been involved with the Mandapam in all aspects of its construction, design and use of it.
